Within the scope of the Microwheels project miniaturized reaction wheels were developed to be used as actuators of attitude control in picosatellites with a massup to 1 kg. As a result, a prototype was developed and manufactured.
Various tests to determine the system's behaviour were conducted. During the development of the reaction wheels, future space suitability was prioritized. Finally, three reaction wheels were integrated into a demonstrator, which performed successfully in-orbit. Thus, function and performance parameters were verified.
