Activities of the Chair of Space Technology in the field of miniaturised space systems focus on a particularly close link between research and teaching in the core areas of nanosatellites and CubeSats, planetary rover and sounding rockets.
Since launch of the first satellite, TUBSAT-A, in 1991, ten small satellites have been built and launched. Seven more satellites are on the way.
Furthermore, the Chair of Space Technology conducts experiments on sounding rockets and runs projects on development and testing of planetary rovers and the corresponding mission operations technology.
