Since the year 2012 an extensive quality management system exists at the Chair
of Space Technology. It is applied in all research and teaching projects that
are carried out at the Chair of Space Technology. The growth of the Chair of
Space Technology in recent years makes it necessary to re-examine the
implemented quality management system. On the one hand, individual projects in
the sector have grown strongly and were met with a great response from the space
industry. As a result, the sponsoring agency has new requirements for product
assurance. In addition, an English Master's program was established. Since the
documents of the quality management system so far only exist in German, it is
not possible to use these documents in the English Master's program.

The existing quality management system is to be analyzed within the framework of
the thesis, starting from the research strategy of the Chair of Space Technology
and taking into account the various project requirements in research and
teaching. As a result of the analysis, the existing quality management system
will be revised and updated, taking into account new requirements and

  • good knowledge of space mission planning
  • good knowledge of the German language
  • good knowledge of the English language
  • good knowledge in working with LaTeX
  • basic knowledge of quality management systems desirable
  • basic knowledge in working with git/gitlab desirable
